History in practice: A self-guided history hunt activity

Organization studies would consider a university’s historic narrative as a strategic resource, shaped by senior management. However, students and staff play an active role in shaping their own understanding of the history of their institution. Participants are invited to complete a self-guided history hunt during the conference and come together for a discussion session to discuss the use of history in teaching practice. The history hunt promises participants new perspectives and appreciation of the history of universities, for purposes of better understanding their own academic identity.
