George and Ray Miles, both at Berkeley, were early supporters of the founding of OBTC and helped to host the first conference at the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley. Ray passed away last year. AOM Fellow Professor George Strauss of the University of California-Berkeley, a pioneer in the field of industrial relations has died at the age of 97. Professor Strauss was a leading scholar of industrial relations and organizational behavior and also served as editor of <i>Industrial Relations</i>, president of the Industrial Relations Research Association, and Director of the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment at UC-Berkeley.
