Teaching the key principles of evidence-based management through the analogy of how students study and why
evidence-based management, experiential
I discuss an experiential exercise I use to illustrate the key points and challenges of being an evidence-based manager. Through this exercise, students personally connect to the issues involved in evidence-based management by relating those issues to their use of various study strategies. This personal connections makes the ideas in evidence-based management more relatable for students, particularly those with no or limited work experience. As a result, they more deeply learn and remember this concept.
