Applying Photographic Methods in an MBA Classroom: The implementation of a Pecha Kucha assignment in a field study course
photographs, fieldwork, research
This session briefly explores photographic research methods and the extension of photographic use in the classroom. Through a Pecha Kucha assignment (20 photographs accompanied by 20 seconds of dialogue for each photograph), students can capture a wide range of organizational phenomena. This session describes photographic research methods, their application in the classroom, and provides an example of a Pecha Kucha presentation in an MBA level course. Discussion will include applying these methods at the undergraduate and graduate levels, common questions, and possible extensions across disciplines.
