Integrating Mindfulness Meditation into the Organizational Behavior Curriculum

Abstract: There is a body of evidence demonstrating the positive relationship between mindfulness and a range of Organizational Behavior based skills and capabilities. These include perception, emotional regulation, stress management, ethical decision-making and teamwork. Building on this research the session will detail how an Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation training was incorporated into OB courses and feedback received from students. The session, in addition to describing the rationale for the program and the program details, will be interactive as participants will complete a survey accessing their own level of mindfulness and engage in a series of mindfulness practices used in the program.
