Finding Answers In The Human Resource’s Office: An Escape Room Activity


Abstract: I bring to the classroom the experience of an escape room game. The game’s scenario, tasks students with finding answers to questions related to Human Resource (HR) topics. The game is intended as an experiential activity that allows students to experience the dynamic interactions among team members in collaborative settings, while applying their critical thinking and understanding of specific HR concepts. The game targets students understanding of types of recruitment, selection, and of specific types of performance evaluation forms. The game can be done in a 75-minute class session and is suited for both, graduate and undergraduate students.
