Relationships and Reconciliation: Indigenous Ways of Knowing In Management Education

Abstract: Incorporating Indigenous ways of knowing and doing into a management classroom is a necessary step on the path towards reconciliation. In our session, we will discuss our Aspen Institute “Ideas Worth Teaching Award”-winning course, Relationships and Reconciliation in Business and Beyond. We will highlight course materials and content, and demonstrate how our content was carried into our teaching practice through the Pedagogy of Peace, drawing on the values of the Haudenosaunee Great Law of Peace (peace, strength, a good mind, and self-in-relation). We will share resources with those interested in focusing on relationships and reconciliation in their own classrooms.
