Restarting Your (really) Old Hard-Copy Research With New Technology

Abstract: Due to complications related to the relevance of older research projects, information technology, research methods, and with various twists of fate, some older research projects exist in hardcopy format only. Even when authors lose hope of older projects finding an audience, sometimes those projects receive or deserve new attention. This Professional Development Workshop will explore the practical process of rediscovering the untapped digital potential of an old hardcopy non-digitized research project. Presenters will walk the participants through a practical example including digitizing an older work, and utilizing newer mixed-methods approaches that did not exist when the work was published.
