The Bradford Session feat. Joan Gallos- The Soul of Teaching: The Big Take-Aways from a Long Life as a Management Educator *HYBRID PRESENTATION*
In this session, Joan Gallos, award-winning scholar and educator and recipient of this year’s MOBTS David L. Bradford Distinguished Educator Award , shares 7 insights that she wishes she knew when she attended her first (M)OBTC in 1978. Management education has always been noble yet challenging work; the chaos and economic consequences in higher education in our pandemic world only make it more so. What happens in classrooms can change lives or set instructors on a path to cynicism or burnout. How can management educators develop strategies and habits of the mind to keep their work life from becoming an endless search for new exercises and activities to those that bring deep pleasure and the best contributions their talents and circumstances allow? This session offers a candid, behind-the-scenes look into what it took for one inexperienced educator to achieve such mastery and opportunities for participants to reflect on their own formula for long-term fulfillment and success.

Back to the Future with the MOBTS Fellows *HYBRID PRESENTATION*
Moderated by Dave Fearon and Joe Seltzer
This session will focus on three periods of time: a) the founding of the Society (note that seeds were sown here that helped the Society to grow and develop), b) changes that occurred over the fifty years of the Society’s existence, and c) the future of the Society(time to sow seeds again). We will briefly talk about a) and b) and then ask participants in the session, “What will the Society be like in 10 years?” This will be discussed in small groups and then reported on to the whole session. We hope that this will help plant seeds for the future of MOBTS.
