Abstract: In a senior undergraduate or Masters-level exercise in a mandatory Corporate Governance and Ethical Decision-Making course, students explore corporate dynamics using snacks. Divided into six groups, each role-plays a corporate function, tasked with choosing and distributing these snacks to the class, or analysing the decision. The board sets decision parameters for management, management selects the snacks, the compensation committee handles leftovers, the audit committee ensures fairness, shareholders evaluate the decision, and analysts provide input and commentary. This hands-on activity fosters understanding of corporate decision-making, resource allocation, and accountability, promoting teamwork and governance insight – as well as serving as a class icebreaker!
