Abstract: The job interview is perhaps the most dreaded selection tool. Potential candidates are expected to have practiced professional introductions, common questions and answers, and other normative behaviors. Though resources exist to help students prepare (e.g., mock interviews), these can be time-consuming and/or costly. This exercise presents an alternative job interview preparation tool using the generative AI platform Microsoft Copilot. Participants in this session will learn how to use the three-part exercise to enhance students’ interview self-efficacy while practicing their own generative AI skills. The session is will be of interest to those with any level of genAI experience, including none.
