Abstract: As we continue to innovate in our classroom environment, we must provide a space for our learners to collaborate around a shared, common goal. We concur that there is value in defining learning objectives that will consider active learning and enhanced student engagement metrics. Implementing learning communities into the classroom provides a structure for shared ideas, thought leadership processes, and ways to analyze and measure success. Not only do learning communities create cohesive teams, but there is evidence that this practice facilitates the critical analysis of challenges and changes necessary for successful project implementation, execution and closure.
