Abstract: This workshop will challenge participants to create alternative leadership models for businesses, offer a classroom exercise that stimulates conversations in classrooms, and collect and share research data. The PDW identifies three major problems that interfere with for-profit companies’ abilities to contribute to a sustainable, flourishing, regenerating, poverty-alleviating world: destructive corporate purpose, the CEO’s “job description”, and “impatient capital.” In breakout groups, PDW members will develop ways to introduce a new business model and share results. A similar exercise is currently used in classrooms to generate creative organizational designs for a sustainable world and will be discussed and modified.
