Utilizing Ai To Brainstorm Cultural Differences

Abstract: This session participants will interact with Artificial Intelligence (AI) by completing an activity that can be used for brainstorming. Participants will work in small groups to ask ChatGPT questions about cultural differences between the United States and another country of their choice. Initially they will seek out general information about cultural differences, such as behaviors and values. Later they will ask ChatGPT to compare the two countries based on Hofstede’s cultural dimensions. With this information they will then compare what ChatGPT produced to what is on the Hofstede Insights website looking for discrepancies and determining the usefulness of ChatGPT’s output.
