Abstract: This conceptual paper for a symposium/panel session seeks to gain insight from the audience on their views regarding how AI and machine learning systems are transforming the working environment. It highlights the American government’s acceptance for use of the technology, its utilization in the classroom, as well as the perceived notions of the replacement of human roles and intelligence by AI. Conversely, it then seeks to demonstrate through theories, practice and a conceptual model, the preeminence of human intelligence and its requirement towards the efficiency of these technologies, based on knowledge creation and development of information systems for business value
