Abstract: Socio-technical complexity is the New Normal, yet the leadership mindsets required to meet it are not. An abbreviated case study (key points only) of several hundred contestants in a massively- multiplayer online (MMO) video-game scenario is presented through the lens of organizational performance consulting as an example of a real-life, large-scale New Normal organization that thrives amidst conditions of high uncertainty. Through facilitated small- and large- group discussions, attendees will apply insights from the case study to their education of the next leaders of large-scale organizations facing increasingly volatile business conditions.
