Abstract: Creative problem-solving is a highly sought-after skill in business school graduates. Conventional wisdom suggests creativity is an innate personality trait bestowed upon a select few. This misconception undermines the reality that creativity is a skill that can be developed. The componential theory of creativity provides a useful framework for understanding and enhancing creativity. By analyzing The Beatles' creative process in The Beatles: Get Back (Jackson, 2021) docuseries through the lens of this theory, the paper sheds light on the factors that both contributed to and hindered their creativity while recording an album.
