Challenges and New Ways of Teaching In The Context of Psychological Trauma After The Violent Attack At Charles University In Prague

Abstract: On December 21, 2023 there was a mass shooting at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic that led to 14 people dead, 22 people injured. Currently we are experiencing challenges of how to proceed in teaching, coping with all negative emotions, anxiety, fear of highly , as well as, low impacted students and academics. I decided to integrate EMDR therapy features in my students discussions and classes. My paper describes situation after big trauma and finding ways of coping with emotions on one hand and rationality on the other hand.
