Teaching How to Use AI Tools in the Recruitment and Selection Process: A Job-Seeker's Perspective

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing recruitment, transforming how candidates connect with employers. This shift introduces challenges such as skill obsolescence and difficulty navigating AI driven hiring systems. Designed as the first of two complementary sessions to explore strategies for preparing students to succeed in AI-enhanced job markets, this session leverages practical exercises—optimizing AI-friendly resumes, leveraging AI for interview preparation, and utilizing AI-powered tools for networking and job applications—to develop career-readiness skills. Panelists will present actionable exercises and facilitate discussions on adapting these methods for diverse students and course modalities. Participants will leave with actionable exercises that allow them to equip students for the evolving workforce.
