Let’s Have a Debate! – A Quick, Easy, and Fun Experiential Activity

In our continuous efforts to incorporate experiential learning into the classroom, we often rely on using debates. In this session, we demonstrate how quickly and easily a debate can be utilized to promote experiential learning. Engaging in such debates offers valuable results by fostering student engagement, increasing retention of material, and promoting critical-thinking skills. We will share a few of our favorite topics, explain the simple rules, and have attendees participate in multiple debates. In addition to sharing our best practices (and hearing what attendees have to share!), all relevant materials will be provided. Maybe there will even be prizes?!
