An Exercise to Introduce Undergraduate Business Students to Content Analysis

Content analysis is a valuable tool for managers, but it is often not included in an undergraduate business curriculum. This session shares an experiential exercise that instructors can use to teach undergraduate business students the basic concepts of content analysis. Instructors can use the activity in any course where instructors want students to develop basic skills in content analysis. In Organizational Behavior courses, this activity allows instructors to highlight the relevance of course topics to the business world, prompts students to connect real-world examples to their learning, and helps students add content analysis to their managerial toolkits.
