Realistic Job Preview for University Students

The realistic job preview for university students is a class activity that demonstrates the importance of providing job candidates with a realistic job preview by asking students to create a realistic job preview for potential new students. Students reflect individually on their experience as a student before discussing in small groups. Then groups share with the class and create a collective realistic job preview. Debriefing the activity includes connecting the process of creating a realistic job preview to the value of providing one to job candidates. Participants in this session will engage in the activity and spend time discussing variations.
