Embracing Undergraduate Students as Co-Researchers and Co-Authors

“Embracing Undergraduate Students as Co-Researchers and Co-Authors” highlights the advantages of student-faculty collaboration on research for conference papers, presentations, or publications. The presenter will share their recent experience co-authoring and editing a student-faculty book. The session will encourage discussion of the benefits and challenges through activities aligned with three objectives: 1) identifying the benefits of co-authorship and co-research, 2) analyzing barriers and proposing solutions, and 3) designing a preliminary co-authorship workflow with roles, timelines, and authorship practices.
