Helping Students Envision and Embody Their Future Selves

Career-focused business education often invites students to anticipate their future careers and the experiences that may await them. This session outlines an experiential version of this career ideation: a two-part exercise that guides students in imagining the day-to-day experiences of their future professional lives and embodying these features in a roleplay. This experiential sequence has proven to be meaningful for students’ career decision-making and identity exploration. Session participants may experience similar benefits as well as learn an engaging activity to promote their students’ career readiness.
