Beyond the Bot: Rooting Management Education in Philosophical Inquiry and Human Values

As artificial intelligence rapidly automates analytical and administrative tasks, management education must re‑center on the human capacities that technology cannot replace. This roundtable argues for grounding business curricula in philosophical inquiry, abstract reasoning, and ethical reflection to cultivate students’ creativity, contextual awareness, and judgment. Through community discussion, participants will explore how thought experiments and theoretical engagement enhance understanding of organizational complexity while complementing applied learning. The session highlights strategies for integrating deeper intellectual exploration into coursework and reaffirms higher education’s mission to develop reflective leaders prepared to serve as thoughtful “humans in the loop” in an increasingly automated world.
