Lights, Camera, Management: Using Movie Clips to Teach Principles of Management

This session demonstrates how short video clips—including scenes from films like Moneyball, Remember the Titans, Apollo 13, and Hidden Figures—can be used as powerful pedagogical tools to illustrate core management concepts in undergraduate Principles of Management courses. Rather than relying on lengthy theoretical explanations, these clips allow students to observe management principles in authentic organizational contexts, making abstract concepts concrete and memorable. Participants will learn how to select, sequence, and debrief video clips to maximize student engagement and conceptual understanding across all major management topics.
