Business Education in Transition: Navigating Global North South Interdependencies and its implications on Business Schools

Business schools today confront profound turbulence. Rising geopolitical tensions, the accelerated integration of artificial intelligence, the intensifying climate crisis, and ongoing conflicts across regions are reshaping ideological, political, and institutional narratives. These challenges transcend traditional binaries of “West versus East” or “Global North versus South,” embedding business schools within complex global interdependencies. This interconnectedness compels institutions to reassess their role, not only as sites of knowledge production but also as actors navigating and mediating shifting contours of global power, technological transformation, and socio-environmental responsibility. This roundtable invites participants to critically engage with the evolving role of business schools in turbulent times.
