Light Lift Experiential Activity: Using Publicly Available Data to Integrate Course Topics

Publicly available employee data, like what Indeed and Glassdoor collects, can be used to help students critically think about organizational issues by integrating data with course topics. This type of experiential activity is a light lift for instructors, compared to other traditional forms of experiential learning. This activity-driven session proposes an end-of-term project that does not require much time, much costs, or any external partnerships. While completing the project, students practice professional communication and exercise their problem-solving skills.
