Intercultural Sensitivity through a New Model of International Learning

This session will discuss the development of a new virtual exchange model that is being piloted in Spring 2026. The new model connects students in Japan and Hawaii (USA) for a full semester of exchange using a blended modality for small group seminars. The model also includes an embedded cultural intelligence (CQ) component which includes pre/post CQ assessments. The session is currently seeking permission from the host university to access its teaching spaces and technology to allow for a full demonstration of the virtual exchange model. Interactive activities and assessment results from the pilot semester will also be shared.
