That Educated Quickly: A collective sensemaking game to teach the Big Five

This paper introduces a classroom activity that adapts the cooperative game ‘That Escalated Quickly’ to teach the Big Five personality traits. The game requires students to think more deeply about when and how personality traits emerge in everyday life. Students must create scenarios that are appealing - or not - to a person with a given personality trait, then collectively rank order them. Although I use this game to teach personality traits, it can be applied to any framework that includes dimensions along a continuum, such as cultural dimensions, social bases of power, and employee engagement.
