Teaching the Same Concepts at Graduate and Undergraduate Levels: Pedagogical Differences and Objectives

Management education requires teaching similar concepts across undergraduate and graduate levels, yet pedagogical approaches rarely differ significantly to match learners' developmental needs, experiences, and objectives. This session explores theoretical foundations distinguishing pedagogy from andragogy, examines practical applications of Bloom's Taxonomy, and demonstrates how identical management concepts require different instructional strategies, assessment methods, and learning objectives. Participants engage in collaborative discussions about cross-level teaching experiences, analyze case examples demonstrating differentiated instruction, and develop actionable frameworks for adapting content delivery while maintaining academic rigor. This session directly addresses core values by promoting ethical, inclusive teaching practices honoring diverse learners and institutional missions.
