We are going to eat what?!: Using McDonald’s international menu to teach the marketing mix

This session will aim to teach educators an in-class exercise that uses the international menu of McDonalds to teach the marketing mix to undergraduate business students. Students will engage in an activity where they must select a menu item from McDonalds global menu, and use the marketing mix and strategic planning to develop a presentation that illustrates how it would be introduced to American customers. Teaching revolves around marketing, presentation skills, planning, and uses a contest-driven motivation scheme.
