Changing Faculty Roles Amid Shifts in Higher Education

Abstract: In this roundtable, we will explore changing roles and expectations for faculty in light of recent shifts in higher education. These shifts include, but are not limited to: tightening of budgets, the COVID-19 pandemic, and competition for students given the impeding enrollment cliff. We will discuss what is happening at institutions globally, how faculty are being impacted, and how we can mutually support each other in managing these evolving expectations. Through the process of sharing our experiences, we hope to form an international community of support that fosters future collaborations and dialogue.
