Academics’ work-life balance and academics-students interactions: a debate on debated topics.

Abstract: Wellbeing and work-life balance in academia are key topics from both an organisational and individual perspective. Mismanagement of academics’ workload may negatively impact on academics’ work-life balance, wellbeing, as well as teaching and learning. Evidence on these issues are reported, yet various solutions may not have been explored. The discussion aims to stimulate debate and gather evidence on academics’ work-life balance issues, and their relationship with teaching, learning, and more broadly students’ experiences. Theoretical and practical implications will be discussed.
