Application of Hofstede Cultural Dimensions in International Human Resources

Abstract: This session provides an interactive multi-step group activity to assist students in understanding the application of the Hofstede Cultural dimensions in international human resources. Participants will first work in groups to conduct research on assigned countries. They will be provided with resources to prepare them for their simulated cross-cultural interaction and record information. This activity can be run in undergraduate or graduate level courses and it can be conducted in-person or synchronous online. It can also been run in a variety of class sizes.
