Abstract: This applied, practice-based longitudinal research project investigates and measures the affordances of novel Augmented Reality Learning Objects (ARLOs) in higher business education. Particularly, the authors evaluate the effectiveness and impact of novel Augmented Reality (AR) enhanced learning experience on undergraduate students' overall learning at a top ranked university's college of business. This study utilises a mixed method research approach sampling, testing, measuring, and evaluating data from control and test group research participants enrolled in selected undergraduate business degree programmes at this project's research site. Research findings prove that the proposed novel learning approach utilising AR experiences should be regarded as an optimum tool to enrich learning experiences in higher business education. Consequently, the research project makes an original and substantial contribution to knowledge in the domain of learning and education proposing a best practice AR Learning Experience (ALEX) implementation framework for higher business education.
