Slice By Slice: Building Leadership Through Pizza-Powered Teamwork

Abstract: In this interactive presentation, I will guide participants through a collaborative leadership activity that engages college students in inclusive decision-making. Using a fun and relatable scenario—ordering pizzas as a group—I’ll explore how communication, group dynamics, and voting methods impact the consensus-building process. Together, we’ll brainstorm and reflect on incorporating diverse perspectives while resolving conflicts. The session concludes with a discussion using the Six Thinking Hats framework to analyze group behaviors and individual contributions. Through this hands-on experience, I aim to foster self-awareness, critical thinking, and teamwork, equipping students with practical leadership skills for real-world situations.
