Live Student Consulting Projects: Models That Reduce The Faculty Time Required

Abstract: Consulting projects provide an in-depth experiential learning opportunity for business school students, but the traditional model often demands significant time and effort from faculty to implement effectively. This session introduces two approaches to consulting projects that maintain impactful student learning outcomes while reducing the time investment required of the educator. These models simplify project setup and execution, making consulting projects more doable for busy faculty. By exploring these two options, and participating in drafting and discussion exercises, participants will be introduced to ways of embedding consulting projects into their curriculum that are impactful without being exhausting.

Keywords: consulting projects; experiential exercise; real-world application
