Neurodiversity In Management Education: Supporting Neurodivergent Students For An Inclusive Future Workforce

Little attention has been paid to neurodiversity within post-secondary management programs and classrooms. Educators should support neurodivergent students within management classrooms and promote awareness among neurotypical students to support collaboration. Moreover, developing skills in supporting neurodiverse peers, classmates, and future workforce members is critical. In a continuation of the discussion presented at IMOBTS 2023, this session will explore how to best support neurodivergent students in management programs, increase educator awareness of neurodiversity in higher education classrooms, and presents suggestions for incorporating understanding via a class culture built around compassionate pedagogy and universal design for learning.
