This 60-minute roundtable discussion explores innovative strategies for building practical learning experiences and partnerships between higher education institutions and employers. Participants will engage in a dynamic dialogue about effective models for integrating workplace skills into academic curricula and fostering meaningful collaborations with industry partners. The session aims to identify best practices, challenges, and opportunities for creating mutually beneficial relationships that enhance student employability and address workforce needs, and how to develop classroom and syllabus supports for these relationships. Attendees will share experiences, brainstorm solutions, and develop actionable ideas for implementing or improving industry-academia partnerships at their own institutions. The roundtable serves as the first part of a two-part examination of this critical topic, setting the stage for further exploration and practical application. The presenters will apply discussion conclusions in Fall 2025, and submit a proposal to present outcomes at IMOBTS 2026.
