Mastering Focus: Empowering Educators To Thrive In A Multitasking World

Abstract: This professional development workshop addresses the challenges of multitasking in academia, offering strategies to enhance focus and productivity for management and organizational behavior faculty. The proposal outlines a 60-minute session that explores the neuroscience of attention, debunks multitasking myths and provides practical techniques for improving concentration. Participants will engage in interactive exercises, learn evidence-based methods like the Pomodoro Technique, and develop personalized action plans to implement these skills in their professional and personal lives. The workshop aims to equip educators with tools to manage their productivity and share these valuable insights with their students, ultimately contributing to improved well-being and effectiveness in the academic environment.
