Abstract: This experiential activity will demonstrate a final paper assignment which presents students (and session participants) with an ethical dilemma that has a non-trivial impact on their academic standing. The session is intended for instructors who teaching undergraduate standalone ethics courses. An element of surprise will be added to the session to simulate the students’ emotional response when learning about the activity. The presenter will also discuss the ethics of subjecting students to a real ethical dilemma. Teaching evaluations and student samples will be presented to show how students have responded to the experiential assignment.
