Abstract: In this roundtable discussion, we collaboratively explore the transformative potential of micro expressions of care within higher education environments. Our assertion is that a cultivation of micro expressions of care, which we define as subtle yet profound manifestations of empathy, compassion, and relational ethics, has become not just a desirable aspiration but an imperative in our educational ecosystems. Our goal is to engage other academics in a vulnerable, generative, and empathetic discussion regarding the capacity of micro expressions of care to foster inclusivity, support, and well-being in a sector that remains, perhaps more than ever, in need of profound change.
