Assessing ChatGPT as a Learning Assistant Tool for Business Courses in a Connectivism Context

Abstract
Abstract: Applying the Connectivist Interaction Engagement (CIE) model, this research examined how students use AI-powered text-generated tools like ChatGPT to aid their learning. The preliminary analysis finds students engaging in several levels of interactions, such as operations, wayfinding, and sensemaking, but not innovation, while they are relatively open to learning and using ChatGPT with some reservations regarding the risk of plagiarism.
