Abstract

Teaching Organizational Behavior topics to first-year students for the first time can be challenging. Students often struggle to see the relevance of these issues and how they can apply in an organizational setting, especially when they have limited work experience. In the current paper we introduce an adaption of a survival exercise to introduce core concepts, namely diversity and ethics, for the first time. We share how the exercise can be implemented in the classroom, highlighting specific considerations for educators.
