Climate Negotiations In Action: A Learning Activity Engaging Stakeholders With C-Roads Climate Change Policy Simulator

Climate change is a global issue affecting the environment, health, economies, and biodiversity. Educating students on this topic is crucial to prepare future leaders. This session introduces the C-ROADS Climate Change Policy Simulator, an interactive tool aligned with SDG 13: Climate Action, which simulates the effects of policy decisions on climate outcomes such as CO2 levels and temperature rise. Participants assume roles in climate negotiations—Developed Nations, Developing Nations, Activists, and more—exploring stakeholder dynamics. The session fosters critical thinking, systems thinking, and collaborative decision-making, equipping students to address real-world sustainability challenges.
