“Seeing” and Imagining With Genai: An Activity Using Gpt Vision In Innovation Management Education

The ability to innovate is essential for organizations seeking to maintain their market advantage. This paper presents an innovative classroom exercise designed to enhance innovation management education by integrating GPT Vision, an AI tool that analyses both visual and textual data. Grounded in multimodal learning theory and the concept of intersubjectivity, the exercise enables students to engage deeply with core innovation processes such as trend analysis, problem-solving, and reverse engineering. Through real-time AI feedback, students develop critical thinking, creativity, and decision-making skills. The session’s design emphasizes active learning, allowing participants to apply GPT Vision’s insights to real-world business scenarios.
