Let’s Talk It Out: Ai Digital Humans In Action For Real-World Assessments

This paper explores the integration of AI-driven digital humans—Jack and John—into Interactive Oral Assessments (IOAs) to enhance real-world communication skills. Jack embodies competence and directness, while John represents warmth and encouragement, providing students with varied interaction styles. By engaging with these anthropomorphic AI tools, students develop adaptability, critical thinking, and effective verbal communication. Grounded in multimodal learning and the Stereotype Content Model, this activity highlights the potential of AI to enrich assessment preparation, bridging traditional methods with innovative technologies to foster authentic learning experiences reflective of both academic and professional challenges
