Developing Critical Thinking Skills In An Entrepreneurship Course Using A Genai-Assisted Assessment Task

Critical thinking skills for students of entrepreneurship are vital for them to navigate the avalanche of information available to them when determining how best to start or expand a business. The advent of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools adds another layer of complexity for students, bringing both new ways to plan and ideate and a potential new source of misinformation. This paper proposes an assessment structure that will both familiarise students with a productive way to use a GenAI tool in entrepreneurship and develop critical thinking via reflective practice.
