Teaching With Heart: Fostering Kindness In Management Classrooms

As the demands of higher education grow, this workshop offers the Pedagogy of Kindness (PoK) as a fresh, impactful approach to teaching in business and management. Rooted in empathy, compassion, and respect, PoK helps create classrooms where students feel supported and engaged rather than anxious or overwhelmed. Research shows that PoK not only boosts student motivation and success but also enriches educators’ experiences, making teaching more fulfilling and less stressful.

In this interactive session, we’ll highlight kindness as an essential skill for today’s leaders and explore how it positively shapes team dynamics and organisational culture. Educators in management and organisational behavior will discover practical ways to weave kindness into their course design, feedback, and communication, building a more inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Through group discussions, hands-on activities, and relatable examples, you’ll come away with effective, ready-to-use strategies to bring the Pedagogy of Kindness to life, empowering students to lead with empathy and integrity in today’s complex business world.
